94 wrangler won't charge

Hey just a thought..If you have an ammeter on the dash, and it's not working, you'll need to either replace the unit or repair those cables going to it....accordianman

did you check the voltage into the alternator should be 12.5v dc at all times and when on there should be around 14.5v dc going out. if no power out but power in you need to replace the alternator. or if your feeling frisky you can take it apart and buy a rebuild kit from WWW.partsamerica.com for around 30. 90% of alternator failure is due to faulty brushes and they come in the kit. good luck and i hope i helped
