Changing Spark Plugs and Coil on plug

HOW do I do this? I'm 99.5% mechanically retarded apparently! I read that they are COP's however can't figure out which thing to tear apart to get to my spark plugs. Fuel rail (silver) front or rear bolt attaching?

First of all if this is like the expedition because the plugs are way down in the engine on those and you have to remove the fuel injecter rail and yes there is a front and rear bolt attaching this on because there is no spark plug wires only the coil packs which is big plugs right next to the fuel injecter that has a small wire to it it is a very funny looking boot be sure not to damage these things because they are about $12 to $15 a piece go to auto zone and be sure to put double platium plugs back in and you will be good and ask them for a diagram on where the plugs are located

I don't mean to question your skills, but have you double-checked your plug wires, that they're going to from the distributor to the correct plugs? (If you have a distributor!)
I have worked on cars for over 40 years, and recently changed the cap, rotor, plugs and wires on my V6, and it backfired badly when I was done. Only on the third (triple check) did I figure out I had put the wires in based on counter-clockwise rotation, when in fact the distributor rotates clockwise. But many other items got inspected and checked on my engine, including a full cleaning of the throttle body, while I tried to figure it out.

this is a usa forum and we dont have KB here, where are you.
my wild guess is you have petrol engine.
and cant find the spark plugs
they are under the COP coils
on all DIS gas engines. unless it has wasted coil packs.
fact.
COP means coils over plugs.

WHERE ARE THE SPARK PLUGS

Caldina GT-T spark plugs are centrally located in the head, in deep wells in the cam cover.
As the GT-T does not have a distributor, you won't see spark plug wires. The intercooler needs to be removed and the four COP (coil-on-plug) assemblies tagged and unpluged. Unbolt and remove the COP assemblies and then use a long extension with the correctly sized spark plug socket to remove the plugs.
Keep the COP assemblies in order to replace in the same positions as removed.

CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHERE COIL IGNITION ''B'' IS ON 2006 FORD 4X4 F-250 IS?

What you have is called a COP. the is known as coil on plugs hence C.O.P they are located on each cylinder they are black in color(well most are) and each of them have a 2 wire connection on it each one is held down with a 7mm screw. If you remove one underneath is a spark plug.

Timing the cams and crank with a belt

  1. Note: Electronic Ignition engine timing is entirely controlled by the PCM. Electronic Ignition engine timing is NOT adjustable. Do not attempt to check base timing. You will receive false readings.

The CKP sensor is used to indicate crankshaft position and speed by sensing a missing tooth on a pulse wheel mounted to the crankshaft. The CMP sensor is used by the COP Integrated EI System to identify top dead center of compression of cylinder 1 to synchronize the firing of the individual coils.
  1. The PCM uses the CKP signal to calculate a spark target and then fires the coil pack(s) to that target shown in Figure 51. The PCM uses the CMP sensor not shown in Figure 51 on COP Integrated EI Systems to identify top dead center of compression of cylinder 1 to synchronize the firing of the individual coils.
  1. The coils and coil packs receive their signal from the PCM to fire at a calculated spark target. Each coil within the pack fires two spark plugs at the same time. The plugs are paired so that as one fires during the compression stroke the other fires during the exhaust stroke. The next time the coil is fired the situation is reversed. The COP system fires only one spark plug per coil and only on the compression stroke.

The PCM acts as an electronic switch to ground in the coil primary circuit. When the switch is closed, battery positive voltage (B+) applied to the coil primary circuit builds a magnetic field around the primary coil. When the switch opens, the power is interrupted and the primary field collapses inducing the high voltage in the secondary coil windings and the spark plug is fired. A kickback voltage spike occurs when the primary field collapses. The PCM uses this voltage spike to generate an Ignition Diagnostic Monitor (IDM) signal. IDM communicates information by pulsewidth modulation in the PCM.
  1. The PCM processes the CKP signal and uses it to drive the tachometer as the Clean Tach Out (CTO) signal.

The ignition system consists of an ignition coil, spark plug wires and spark plugs.
The crankshaft position sensor signal is the basis for ignition timing calculations. The alternating voltage signal from the crankshaft position sensor is digitized by a pulse former within the powertrain control module. This digitized signal is then used to position the closing time of the primary circuit of the ignition coil.
Ignition timing is determined by the powertrain control module in response to engine operating conditions based on stored data tables or maps. Once ignition timing has been determined, the powertrain control module interrupts the current to the primary circuit of the ignition coil thus triggering the ignition spark which is supplied to the cylinders through the spark plug wires and spark plugs.
The ignition coils are triggered by the powertrain control module in pairs (cylinders 1 and 5, cylinders 4 and 3 and cylinders 2 and 6) sending one ignition spark to the firing cylinder and one ignition spark to the corresponding cylinder on the exhaust stroke. This ensures that any unburnt fuel residues remaining in the cylinder on the exhaust stroke are re - ignited to provide cleaner exhaust emissions.

The Coil On Plug (COP) Integrated EI System uses a separate coil for each spark plug and each coil is mounted directly onto the plug. The COP Integrated EI System eliminates the need for spark plug wires but does require input from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.

2.7 l misfire after changing plugs

From karjunkie:

If the plugs get wet, then you have a spark problem somewhere in the ignition system. Pull a spark plug and hold it against a ground while you turn the engine over. You need to see a fat blue spark. If not, check the distributor, spark plug wires and coils. An easy way to test for spark is with an inexpensive spark tester. This is a device that is readily available at most auto supply stores. If the plugs do not fire properly, check the spark plug wires for fraying or cracking. Next, you need to check the coil(s). If firing voltage is low (weak spark), measure the coil primary and secondary resistance with an ohmmeter. If it is out of specifications, replace the coil. Also, make sure the coil is receiving normal voltage from the PCM or ignition module. If it is low, check the charging system for anything that may be reducing alternator output (battery and alternator cable connections, ground connections and voltage output).
