Unfortunately you have blown out the cam shaft seal located behind cylinder head gear big job! seal is worth $6.00 these blow out in cold weather start ups they very lightly condensate leak and boom out it comes! usually when this happens it is a wise choice to do the water pump and timing belt at the same this it is all on the same track and compartment!fact makes no sense to change seal and go through that 7-8 hour labour rate charge and 2 months later do it again water pump life expectancy is 80 thousand -1000thousand km! timing belt as well! so if a garage is doing this job your in canada it will be $750-$1000,be smart when you get this fixed! put a block heater in and plug it in on a timer! good luck sorry i had this kind of news!your leak is coming from passenger front looks like it is from oil filter or pulley!rite

Oil light reading "stop" car rattling when you press on gas

Check the oil level before driving it. It must be low on oil. Find out where the leak is. Look underneath the car at the oil pan's drain plug-maybe the service guys forgot to tighten it, or worse, cross threaded it. If they made a mistake, take it back to them to fix it.

I had my oil changed last Saturday and the car didn't have oil in tuesday u put 2 quarts in and saturday no oil what's going on?

Hi, obviously you have a major oil leak, if it was'nt leaking before the oil change, I would say the oil pan bolt wasnt tightened right or they stripped it out, or the oil filter isnt tight or they left old gasket/o-ring on the oil filter mount causing the leak. I would take it back to where you got the oil changed and demand they fix the issue (free of course)....Mike

My car is having a lite oil leak and i want be able too get it the shop until Wednesday so what should i do?

was the oil changed recently? the filter or drain plug may be loose. if it's a leak that has been there for a while and you haven't had a recent oil change, just keep your eye on the oil level and you'll be ok. if you've had an recent oil change, and the filter or plug is loose, they might loosen more due to vibration and cause major oil loss.

SMOKE! Lots of oil gone!

At just about any auto part store, you can buy a bottle of "stop leak". There are a few different brands. Make sure the one you get is for oil.(they make it for radiators and transmissions, etc also...) You just pour it in where your oil goes, and it will help plug up any areas that the oil is leaking from. If it still persists, then you could have a much more serious problem on your hands. (also make sure your oil is not already topped off, when you go to try and pour the stop leak bottle in there! it will over flow)

Note: Your car may continue to smoke for a while, until it has finished burning off any oil that had already leaked out.

I am having trouble with my speedometer not working occasionally and now my seat belt light is coming on sometimes too. Is this the instrument panel cluster? Or something else? 1998 Dodge Neon. Backstory is as follows: -We take very good care of it and have one dedicated mechanic. -It has only had two owners; my parents and I. -We replaced the battery 2 months ago. -Mechanic checked to make sure the speedometer sensor was working. -We have had issues with the radio for years where it will randomly turn on and off, typically brought on by a stuffed trunk OR wet weather. -The speedometer works until we hit a bump and then the needle flies up and down or sometimes just stops working all together. -Mechanic has made mention of there being some Chrysler specific battery cable that is a smaller side cable and it is not in good condition. -Currently, my problem is that I can't find an old 1998 Dodge Neon in the salvage yard because yards are doing a lot of 2002 and newer vehicles and automatically crushing the others. The meat and potatoes of my question is what direction do I go in? And what of these symptoms ties to each other? And will adding new solder to the points on the panel fix it or is it something else? I'm trying to find least expensive to most expensive options and I'm rather handy but can't drop an engine or transmission or anything so keep this in mind. My handiness ends at resoldering the pins BUT I do have a mechanic I trust, but I fear that maybe I'm not combining symptoms properly. I have the money to repair an item I KNOW is wrong but not to chicken hunt around for problems.
