There is a seal on the light.. give it a light tug on it and see if that unseats it.

Why would right rear tail light brake light have no power to them?

The obvious answer is that the wire to the light assembly is broken/cut, or a connection within the light is corroded, or a fuse has blown or is not making proper electrical contact. Since you have specified "no power," I have to assume that the bulb and it's grounding scheme are okay.

Good luck!!!!

How to replace rear view mirror

Instructions
1

Disconnect your negative battery cable, if your Ford Focus has power side mirrors. If it has manual side mirrors, disconnecting the battery is unnecessary.

2

Pry off the wing mirror's inside sail panel (shaped like a triangle). Insert a trim panel tool between the door skin and the plastic panel to pry it off.

3

Carefully pull the sail panel away, minding the wiring if the mirror is power-operated. Unplug the electrical harness and set the panel aside.

4

Open the door and hold the outside part of the wing mirror steady. Remove the mounting bolt with a socket wrench, and then remove the mirror screw with a Phillips screwdriver (the mirror bolt and screw is visible with the panel removed).

5

Pull the wing mirror assembly from its mount (from the outside). Insert the replacement mirror assembly in place; tighten the bolt and the screw.

6

Attach the wiring connection to the replacement mirror. Position the sail panel in place and push it against the door to snap it back on.

How do you replace the headlight on a 2006 pontiac torrent?

1. Remove the three screws from the headlamp assembly. Two are obvious and on top. The third is down low on the back left (for drivers side). I believe they are 10mm.

2. Loosen the front grill cover (painted body color) On the top edge on left/right/center are about dime sized plastic plugs. Lift the center portion of the plug up with a flat blade screwdriver and remove the complete plug. It will be obvious when you look at them.

3. Gently pry up on the long arm on the top where the screw hole is to release the assembly from a small notch in the body panel.

Now completely loose, it should lift up and out when you hold the grill cover back a little bit.

4. Turn the bulb socket counter clockwise and remove from assembly. Slide red retaining tab out to release bulb and pry off socket with a flat blade screwdriver.

5. WITH CLEAN GLOVES ON, install new bulb without touching glass.

Reverse above and your all set.

First side takes 10 minutes, second in 5.

Hope this helps.

I need to replace the front turn signal light socket on a 2000 Chevy Venture, but i don't know how to get it out and i can't find a replacement. How do i get it out?

There are detailed instructions in the the manual. If you do not have a manual, here is how to do it (directions assume removing drivers-side headlight assembly and viewing the area from the front of the van): Remove the thumb screw on the left side of the headlight assembly as well as the thumb screw on the top of the head light assembly. The third thumb screw simply anchors the turn-signal assembly to the head light assembly. Initially, just loosen that screw. The whole assembly is now loose but still held in by two plastic posts on the bottom of the headlight assembly and two plastic posts on the end of the turn-signal assembly closest to the fender/wheel area. Pull the whole assembly kind of up, out, and down. It takes a bit of juggling but it will come out. Once the whole assembly is out you can separate the turn-signal assembly from the head light assembly and put the headlight assembly back in place. To separate the assemblies remove the third thumb screw (if its too tight to remove by hand you will need a Torx screw driver of size T-30; if you don't have a Torx a small flathead screw can work); also, you will notice the hidden clip that is the final anchor holding the turn-signal assembly to the head light assembly. Use a flat-head screw driver to release it. Now the units should be separated. To remove the turn signal bulb socket from the turn-signal assembly, simply turn it counter-clockwise while pressing down on the safety clip and pull it out of the back of the turn-signal assembly. The owners manual lists the type of bulb. It should be an amber 3157. The bulb pulls straight out of the socket.

Replace the bulb. Place the socket back into the turn-signal assembly (turn it clockwise until the safety clip snaps). Replace the Headlight assembly (two thumb screws and the two plastic alignment posts anchor it), but do not tighten the screws until the turn-signal assembly is in place. Replace the turn-signal assembly by first aligning the plastic posts and then anchoring it to the head light assembly with the third thumb screw. Make sure everything is aligned properly and tight all the thumb screws. An experienced person can probably make this change, start to finish, in 15 minutes. First timers will probably take 30 minutes as it takes some time to understand how the designers anchored everything.

Good luck and thank you for using Fixya
