There's a plug in the side of the diff housing. Use 75W90. If you have a humming or noises Amsoil synthetic would be the oil to use.

How do i change the rear differential oil on my 2011 Ford Ranger

remove the rear cover all the bolts except the top 1 just loosen that 1. Put a bucket under the rear diff and open the diff cover and drain out the fluid. clean and reseal the diff. remove the plug on the front of the diff and fill with the correct diff fluid until it is filled up to the hole and replace the plug, clean up and check for leaks. No leake = job is complete.

Believe it or not, it is normal for these engines to use about a quart every 2000 even when they are essentially new. Note that I said, "use", not "burn". The combination of higher compression and operating temperatures causes oil to pass through the engine. You might notice your tail pipes have a good coating on the inside. I managed to slow the process by converting to Mobil 1 0W40. I get much better performance and I only use a quart every 3500-4000.

What grade engine oil is recommended for my 2c diesel engine?

depending on the ambient temperature of where you are that would be a good viscosity for low temperatures. When it gets hot in the area then change up to a 30w-50 viscosity. Make sure that you are using diesel grade oil as there are more additives in it than what is in petrol engine oil

What grade oil is used in the defferential?

My owner\'s manual for my 1995 says API GL-5 unless you have a Limited Slip Diff. For LSD it says API GL-5 and SAE 80W-90 are approved. SAE 90 is acceptable if temps above 0F.

Type of rear axle oil for t1000

check the hand book or a service centre for the correct grade of oil and the quantity. Unless you have a limited slip differential then 80/90 OEP oil would do the job. This oil is not suitable for LSD diffs so check it out first as there is a special oil for LSD diffs

What type of gear oil on gear box and diff on toyota 2004 hi ace commuter

If you are in a fairly hot climate like Australia or Africa a good general diff and gear oil is a 80-90 grade. You cant go wrong with Castrol. By using a fairly heavy grade like this you give better anti wear protection.
