i have the same problem , however my wipers will freeze right where they are and refuse to move no matter what position the switch is in. i usually have to get out of my 2000 jeep and start pulling on the wipers until they start moving again.

Similar problem actually. First the wipers were slow once in a while on low. Now, low doesn't do anything. They work fine on high however. Soooo, motor is probably fine, but...

I've been having the same problems with my 2000 Wrangler Sport. Theystarted slowing on int and low. Then they stopped working all togetheron int and low, and only worked on high. a few weeks later theywouldn't work at all unless i turned them on high, and manually movedthem a few times. now they don't work at all. i know it's not theswitch because the washer still sprays when i pull the lever, so I'mthinking it's the motor. I've looked at prices online and it seems likean expensive and complicated fix. have you guys found any solutions? Idon't really have the money to fix them right now, so the less money Ispend the better. Get back to me at

I have a 2000 Jeep TJ and I am thinking that moisture/snow gets down in the cowel compartment, fills up with snow/ice and freezes.I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a drain plug in that compartment which may have become plugged. When the engine warms up and the temperature in that compartment rises, the snow/ice melts and the wipers become unstuck/unfrozen???

Your switch is broken, take it in and get the switch replaced.

2003 jeep wrangler x fuse box diagram

just a flash light and 5min. looking finds 99% bad fuses.
why do you need to know the exact one?
here is the full FSM> see wiper wiring, its fuse #17 runs the front.
it runs the waster too, so if that works its not Fuse 17.
or any fuse ,.

17 is marked FRT WIPE

see power distrubution page 3. top left corner fuse.
if the fuse is good we use a voltmeter to find out what really is bad.

The whipers on my 93 jeep wrangler wont work

when they do not work turn the key to the run position, the vehicle does not need to be running, and the wipers set to high speed whack the wiper motor with the handle end of a large screwdriver. if the motor starts to work replace it.

I have a 99 Jeep Wrangler and the turn signals, wipers, and radio work when i turn the switch back to AC. But when i actually start my car none of the three work. No idea what it could be?

Very likely the ignition switch is bad. both run and accessory terminals should be engaged in the run position. Sounds like that's not happening.
