I need to know how to change the headlight on a ford excort zx2 2002. I am unable to see the bulb because of some kind of casing over it. do I have to replace the entire light or is there a bulb somewhere inside of there?

take the front bumper off is easier for the horn and headlights ,as for the rocker cover and filter i would need to know what engine ,ie--- diesel petrol american market vehicle has a different engine to our europeon models ,its a big engine compared to our ones

Why are you needing to remove the headlight lens? Are you needing to replace the bulbs? In any case, the headlight lens do not come off. Let me know what you are needing to do. Thanks

The headlight bulb is a fairly simple replace. If involves removing the old light by reaching behind the hedlight where the socket with the wires goes into the headlight. It usually is just a quarter turn or a squeeze and turn kind of motion. Once the socket is out of the headlight then you will be able to simply pull the bulb out and replace with a new one...NOTE...do not touch the new headlight bulb with your fingers...we have an oil that is naturally produced in our skin and can make your new bulb fail prematurally. Use a paper towel to install the new bulb or a gloved hand.

Just check the fuse box for busted fuses. They are properly labelled as headlights, park lights, etc..
Also check the wirings for short circuited lines. Further-
more check the bulbs, if these are still ok.

Bulb should come out of back of headlamp housing. May need to remove battery if bad bulb is on that side.

Changing the bulb should not have affected the housing adjustments.

The bulb is just inserted into the headlight housing. The adjustments on the headlight housing is what adjusts the alignment of the headlights.

Did you maybe not get the bulb not seated correctly in the socket? Or didn't get the socket not seated correctly into the housing?
