2010 equinox power steering fluid

The 2010 v6 has a power steering dip stick below the engine cover. Take off the oil cap, grab the plastic engine cover on each side and lift it off (it snaps off and on). Put the oil cap back on so you don\'t lose it. You will see the power steering dipstick at the top of the engine. This only applies to the v6. Mine was loud, and I added a bit of fluid and it was fine.

Where is the power steering fluid cap located in a pontiac g6 3500 v6?

On the 3.5 V6 the power steering in located on the front corner of the engine passenger side. You'll see the serpentine belt go around the power steering pump and there should be a cop on top of the pump with a picture of the steering wheel. It may be hidden by the cold intake tube from the air cleaner box. Good luck and keep me posted if you need more help locating it, I'll try to explain better. Always easier to show then tell LOL.

When I turn the steering wheel, I hear a whining sound that gets louder the quicker I turn the wheel. It happens when turning left or right. Is this power steering? Or maybe an issue with the wheels?

u have a defectgive power steering pump, check the fluid level 1st, if that is ok flush the system and replace the pump, this will require a special power steering pulley puller and installer tool.

Passat 2002 v6 steering fluid deposit

Oops, sorry about that.....

The power steering fluid reservoir is located just behind the drivers (LHD) headlight, just forward of the washer fluid reservoir.

The reservoir has a green cap on it and a plastic trim panel to conceal the sides, it is circled here:

Need to add oil to the steering wheel system

1st of all, it's not oil, you need power steering fluid. Don't put anything else in it or you'll mess it up. 2nd, how do you know you need fluid? If you found the power steering pump and unscrewed the cap and looked inside, you've done 90% of the work already. Now just add POWER STEERING FLUID a little at a time and then screw the cap back on. Then take the cap back out and look at the stick that's on the cap. There is a line on the stick that tells you the correct fluid level. DO NOT OVERFILL is probably stamped on the cap as well. Heed this warning or you have a mess.

Power steering

The power steering reservoir on 3800 V6-equipped vehicles is located behind and below the rear cylinder head.
With the engine off unscrew the resevior cap and remove the cap wipe the dip stick with a clean cloth(paper towel) and re-install. remove once more and check the level on the dipstick. and then reinstall turn till it stops

Easiest way to add power stearing fluid to a 2001 chevy impala v6 ??

Locate the cap to the power steering fluid reservoir
bc25493.jpg Remove cap and fill reservoir with GM Power Steering Fluid (P/N 89021184) or any fluid a knowledgeable parts department says is compatible. It may not look like much but there are a few dozen steering fluids available out there and lots of systems aren't compatible with many of them (wrong fluid will disintegrate seals, pumps, etc...)
