My car alarm goes off every 15 minutes when the doors are locked. It doesn't seem to happen with the doors are unlocked. This happened to me (with the same car) about a year ago. I took it to the dealership and they explained it had something to do with the door locks and if it happened again, I could easily fix it. Problem is, I don't remember how to fix it! I'm looking to avoid another expensive trip to the dealership, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

My 2000 Mitsubishi Diamante car alarm was randomly going off many many times about 1 month ago, but now it doesn't go off as much anymore. I started having this car alarm problem about 3 months ago and it got so bad that my fiance had to disconnect the car battery cables one night.

I have the same problem. I called a mitsu dealer service dept and they told me to turn the key to the right 2 times to turn off the alarm. Of course, i failed to asked if i turn it back to the left to lock the car, will it turn it back on. But i did try it, and my alarm hasn't gone off yet again today. Hopefully this helps. Good luck ! Cheers :)

2002 honda accord, alarm goes off after about ten minutes when I lock doors from inside with the power locks. I don't have a FOB for the car just the key, any reason why this is happening?

If you lock the car from outside with the key does it happen? If still goes off recomend replace alarm, if not alarm not reading doors locked from auto door locking system

After I lock my car, go shopping and unlock the door, my alarm goes off...how can I stop this from happening?

Try unlocking the door manually with the keys. If problem still happens. Your door or hood switch may be defective. They will send a false signal to the alarm that indicates one is open.

How do I turn off the door alarm on my 2002 Chrysler PT? When I put the key in and unlock the door, the alarm goes off and doesn't stop until I turn the ignition on.

this is a standard warning to tell you the keys are in the ignition to help prevent them from being locked inside. This is a factory alarm and cannot be turned off

I changed my battery and when i did, the antitheft just started making my lights go on and off, and i try to crank it but its like im not getting power to the engine!

the anti theft is working! try manually locking your doors, then wait 15 minutes, unlock the doors with key, the last door you should lock is drivers. lock all doors from inside but drivers, when you shut drivers door, lock it from outside with the key.leave it alone for about 15 minutes please! when you unlock it with the key, if the alarm goes off, disconnect the battery for 10mins. then start over, just remember to lock the driverside door from outside this time with the key!!!

Anti theft alarm goes off after locking the car, this happens after about a minute after locking on my 2006 vw jetta

This is a clue, not a solution. It happens with my 1998 Jetta GT the same way, same delay. The condition comes and goes intermittently, and seems related to the trunk lock. There's a switch operated by the trunk key lock. I think that's where the problem lies. I can go for days with no problem, but sometimes after I have opened the trunk, when I lock the car the alarm goes off a minute later. Nothing will change it except opening and closing the trunk, but not every time.

Alarm system goes off by itself

Your system may have a backup battery that has low voltage when the car is turned off. You may have to look under the dash to see if you can find the main computer for the alarm.
