Re: Plug wires on a 97 camry
Some Vehicles Are Equipped With A V-Bank Cover Remove The Three 5mm
Cap Nuts To Gain Access. Also It Has A Fastener For The V-Bank Cover
This Can Be Screwed Off As Well Then On Installation It Pushes Back On. On V-6 Models You May Need To Remove The 10mm Retaining Bolt From The Coil Pack Cover. On The Engine End To Release The Locking Claw Use A Small Screwdriver Or Alike. Then Grasp Boot Not Wire And Twist As You Pull. Please Take Caution And Do Not Have The Vehicle Running Cause They Can Give You A Pretty Good Shock. Also Replace Them One At A Time So You Don't Risk Mixing Them Up. I Hope This Helps And Good Luck.

If you pull off the triangular black plastic trim behind the mirror, you will see the mirror wiring. If there is no plug, you will have to pull off the door panle. .....SOME Japanese cars have the plugs, but not all of them...Americian built cars do not. They are different.
