I have a 1999 jeep grand Cherokee limited edition my heater only throws out cold air why is that?

this is easy. (are you moving or parked) ill assume stopped.
first is the blower working, (seems so)
ill guess that no heat in all vent modes, and re-circ, on.
next is the engine fully hot, hot means at 180F or more holding
(we measure it with a pyro gun)
next, are both heater core hoses hot/ at the fire wall? and equal at 180f?
yes, good. then the damper is stuck closed i the heater box.
no , then there is heater core blockage. (skipping every 2 year flushes are you, sure...)

it only takes 2 things
hot water ,p[assing through the heater core
and air passing through its fins to get hot cab air.
just 2.

2003 jeep grand cherokee heater problem

Jeep Grand Cherokee is notorious for broken blend-air doors. This is the door inside the A/C-heater housing that switches the air from hot to cold. You must remove the dash to repair it.

What Are the most common problems on a 1997 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 2wd?

2001 jeep cherokee - uneven heat. cold air on passenger side. Problem occurs at highway speed. Seems to be OK at slower speeds.

jeep has a problem with the vent doors (which allow heat or cold air to pass into the passenger compartment) these are plastic vent doors, that break very eazy...the dash has to be removed to replace the broken part, which makes this a big dollar item. have both doors replaced, not just the broken one.....sorry...this will be over $500 to fix,

2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo ac not cooling

My 1999 limited does this. When i bought it off the guy he said that its because of some flap down by the passengers left foot. In mine the passenger air barely even blows because of this.

No heat

First, check the coolant level. (in the radiator, not the recovery bottle)(don't open when hot) Next, after running for a time, does temperature reach normal? (around 200-210) If you drive, will it overheat? After reaching temperature, are both top and bottom radiator hoses hot? Is the vacuum hose on the heater control valve connected? If so, is vacuum present at any point when control is moved between a/c and heat? Does the small control arm on the valve move when you move the control? Do both heater hoses get hot when heat is on (one normally cooler than the other, but not drastically) Check this stuff and get back to me!!

99 jeep grand cherokee limited blows cold air on drivers side. Passenger side vents feel warm but it doesn't blow. Also has problems defrosting.

You may have clogged vents. Is their alot of junk on the floor tword the engine bay. This could be clogging the inlet to the vent.

Another issue could be internal a clog down inside of the dash vent systems or you could have vent door operating issues.
