I have a 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII and the battery died and I replaced it and The radio and everything comes on but when I turn the key It wont start, it dosent make any noise, it acts like the power is cut off, it wont even try to start, I think it might be the security system, but not sure, What does this sound like to you?

If you tried to jump the veh. when the batt. died, then you may have fried a fusable link in the harness. use a test lite to (CAREFULLY) look for voltage leading away from the batt. also you may want to check and see if someone can hear the relay click on as you try to start. (it is sometimes hard to hear it, so you want minimum back ground noise). good luck!

I am trying to find where the heater valve is located on a 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII; I found only one place where it said it was under the dashboard, but I am trying to find more exact information. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
WARNING: WHEN SERVICING STARTER MOTOR (11002) OR PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE IN THE AREA OF THE STARTER MOTOR, NOTE THE HEAVY GAUGE INPUT LEAD CONNECTED TO THE STARTER SOLENOID (11390) IS HOT AT ALL TIMES. MAKE SURE THE PROTECTIVE CAP IS INSTALLED OVER THE TERMINAL AND IS REPLACED AFTER SERVICE.
Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301). Refer to Section 14-01 .
Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to Section 00-02 .
CAUTION: When disconnecting hardshell connector at S-terminal, grasp the plastic shell and pull off. Do not pull on wire. Be careful to pull straight off to prevent damage to the connector and S-terminal. If any part of the connection is damaged, replace the damaged components.
Disconnect starter cable and push-on connector from starter solenoid.

the fuse box in the driving area is in the owners manual. The engine compartment diagram is in a book called Mark VIII Electrical Vacuum and Troubleshooting Manual.
