Question about 2002 Nissan Altima
The broken wiper arm seems to fitted on a cone shaped shaft. After the locking nut has been removed and despite heavy spraying with releasing oil, it resists all efforts to lever it off. Indeed it lifts the motor shaft slightly through the bodywork. Is a special tool like a drawer required, or am I missing seeing some other fastening device?
Try prying up on 2 edges at same time, and wiggle it. If that doesn't work, spin nut back on to cover threads but leave loose enough for a little movement while you pry in 2 spots across from each other & have someone tap the center shaft & nut, with a quick rap of hammer. Not too hard.
