How to drain the brake fluid of 2005 dodge caravan 3.3 L

If you want to change the brake fluid yourself, follow these steps
  1. Remove the old dirty fluid from the master cylinder reservoir

Use a cheap turkey baster for this

  2. Use a lint free cloth to wipe out the reservoir

Do this only if you can get in there

  3. Pour new brake fluid into the reservoir just until it reaches the Full line, replace the cap on the reservoir.

As you bleed the brakes which you can find out how to do elsewhere on this site the new fluid pushes the old fluid out of the system. Continue to bleed the brakes until you see clean clear fluid exiting the bleeder screw

Bleeding the brakes on a 2005 saturn vue

I would start by removing the wheels and finding the bleed screw or bolt.
Pour a little brake fluid on the bolt to free up the rust that will form over time.
Then use a box end wrench to open the bleeder.

Fill the master cylinder with brake fluid and have some ready to add as you bleed the brakes.

Have an assistant push down on the brake pedal until it bottoms out and fluid squirts out of the bleeder screw area.

Watch your eyes.

Then tighten the bleeder screw.

Have them pump up the brakes again.

Do this in sequence from the furthest wheel from the master cylinder to the closest, and you'll be done.

Brakes are going out. if i pump them a alot as im needing to stop they will work but otherwise they dont seem to have any pressure

Check your brake fuid reservoir, if fluid low or none in the reservoir you have a leak somewhere and air has entered the system, this will mean finding and rectifying the leak and then bleeding the system

Air in the brake line - we bleed the brakes and get the air out, but it comes back. The master cylinder has been replaced two times. where is the air coming from?

Check brake caliper piston seal or wheel cylinder, leaking bleeder screw, ABS unit, brake line fittings, those are just a few points at which air could be entering the hydraulic system.

Good Luck !
