Question about 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser
Wondering if you can tell me how to open the driver inside panel to see what is loose and fixable to switch the window up and down?1993 landcruiser
1st remove the screw (1) in the escutcheon behind the door handle/lock button assembly and gently pry out the escutcheon (comes out front-first).
Then gently pry out the window and lock switch panel (from the front again) - use a thin dull knife or other to prise it apart kind of like opening an oyster. unclip the electrical connector and remove the panel.
Gently pry the fabric or leather covered bolster ftom the rear portion of the armrest.
There are 3 large screws in the armrest - 2 in the area where the bolster was and 1 on the underside of the top of the pull - remove the screws (the armrest does NOT detach from the door panel, though).
The panel is attached to the door with a series of plastic 'push' clips beneath it.around the perimeter of the door, about 1 inch in from the edge and starting about 2 inches below the window... take a thin pry-bar and gently run it around the door until you hit the first clip the gently twist your tool to pop the clip loose - repeat for all clips.
Carefully lift and pull panel away from the door.
Re-istallation is the reverse of above.

There should be 5 screws around the panel close to the border and most likely in the inside door handle
