Its very rare for the window switches to go bad. the most common part to go bad is the window motor. the motor for that van can only be replaced as a regulator assm, from the dealer or used. if you move the switch and nothing happens check the connections at the motor while operating the switch in both directions. to verify the circuit wiring is ok. connect your test lamp to only the two wires in the connector not on the body or anywhere else for a ground as that will give the appearance of a bad wire in one direction. if you have a light while operationg the switch then replace the motor/regulator assm.

2005 Chrysler Town & Country. Passenger side window problem.

HAVEK 1005 sounds right on track.... but also try this, usually works well for non functional power windows, specially Caravans.

NO COST PROCEDURE TO FIX IT:

1. Sit in vehicle, on seat next to problematic window
2. Ignition key is on
3. Door in question is opened (in case you closed it)
4. While door is open, press and hold power window button in desired window travel, keep button pressed !!
5. SLAM hard the door closed with one hand while other hand holds button as per #4.
6. Watch window operate as it should.
7. Repeat 3-6 if necessary, but usually the first try works!

NOW, for the naysayers that says you must replace power window motors etc, at $$$ cost because the above fix does not work, or is not long lasting fix, or less than a "professional fix".... Well then, when the window fails to operate again, apply same fix again at that time.

I have fixed my van this way numerous times (usually once a year), and to all local friends I recommend this fix too, likewise do the same and are happy with the solution.

Passenger power window quit working...is it a fuse or breaker or what? The drivers window works fine.

hi, if the drivers window works fine then this suggests the fuse is ok, if you can control the passenger window from the driver side and it dont work and the switch on the passenger side dont work the window then this would point towards either motor or regulator at fault, if the drivers side and passenger side switch are the same then you can swap the switches over all you need to do is pry them out and unclip the wires and swap them over this way you can test if its the switch at fault or the motor.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

for the sliding door, check the wiring that is housed in the plastic chain at the bottom of the door.the problem with the window may be the switch in the driver door

My 2005 Chrysler Town and Country drivers side window won't work. Is it a fuse? My power door locks have not worked for over a year either but I know that part isn't a fuse.

Your power window switch more than likely went bad, try replacing it. IT happened to me and i replaced the switch and it worked again

Driver's side power window doesn't work

2006 chrysler town and country passenger side window suddenly stopped working.
other windows work, sliding doors work as does rear hatchback.
fuses seem to be good.
might there be a safety switch that somehow got pushed that keeps the passenger window from opening?

Driver window,2005 town and country

No, it's not a fuse. It's very common with these Chrysler vans. Turn the key on, hit the door panel with your hand near the bottom while holding the switch down. See if you can get it to work that way. These window motors are very cheap made. If you can get it to work like that, you need a window motor.
