Question about 1999 Dodge Durango
My 99 dodge durango started acting up last sunday it would not start so I changed the battery and it started but then it started backfiring over the next few days and then cutting out while accelerating that is also when it backfires and know iam back to square one it wont start again it will turnover but wont start does any one have any suggestions thank you
Sound like the computer to me, if it started acting up before you changed the battery. I am not certain if your model is affected by "no power". Disconnecting the battery with no other power source can affect the RAM of the computer, Random Access Memory. The memory can be erased and the computer would have to be reprogrammed at the dealer. the only thing I can think of, sorry I cant think of something simpler or something you can fix yourself.

Sounds like the computer to me as well, but sometimes you can reset it by disconnecting it at the computer (3 plugs). If that doesn't work try leaving it disconnect over night. there may be a short in the system causing the computer to over heat.
