Question about 1993 Chevrolet C1500
Mike i have a 1993 Z71 with a rebuilt 350 the problem that i have is that the truck died while driving it started to backfire when i would accelarate then the engine died no spark to the plugs, i have replaced the distributor the coil and the truck will not start no spark i have 12v to the coil coming from the ignition switch the ecm fuse inside the truck is good i have fuel pressure how do i know if the pcm is the problems?
I apologize for the delay in responding.
From your description, I'm leaning toward a timing chain problem, first stretching, then skipping and finally breaking.
If you're getting voltage to the coil and still getting no spark, there is a test I'd like you to try.
Take off the distributor cap and have someone turn the engine over while you eyeball the rotor. Is it spinning?
This going to take some back and forth interaction. Comment me back with the results. We will proceed from there.
