What were the 2 fuses for that you replaced? is there a fuse for the e.c.m.? and what do you mean by battery put on reverse? do you mean you hooked pos. to neg. and neg.to pos? or what? need more info.

the i.c.m. can be chk.at your locial auto parts store like napa or autozone. you might have burnt up alot of things. but there are safeguards, like fusible links, and fuses. if your going to the parts store you might want to take your alt. along to be chk. to just to be on safe side.

Yes, it can be a fuse. Check the 15amp INJ1 fuse under the hood. Also check the IGN 0, PCM 1 and PCM B fuses.

1998 isuzu trooper need wiring diagram for charging system with a3.5 li5ter motor

1998 trooper new alternator and still not charging and alternator bench tested good,
Check main 80 amp fuse in engine compartment and also check fuses in inside fuse box, there two in that one. first is engine fuse 15amp and the 10amp gauge fuse,

Here is the wiring diagram for the charging system as you asked for , also check connections, follow battery wire off the back of alternator make sure connections are good , that wire runs to engine fuse box and that is one fuse that i said to check it is 80amp, hope this is helpful good day9_30_2012_10_15_05_pm.gif

1991 subaru gt legacy was going mint the. Just died wont start turns over has spark and fuel cambelt is mint replaced computer knock sensor cam and crank angle sensors i also noticed my engine mount is...

If fuse number 3 is a 15amp it should be for the cig lighter and I doubt it would have any effect on your no start problem.
If you have spark at the right time, fuel and compression, it should start. So something is missing or not right on the mark.
Have you tried spraying carb cleaner or starting fluid into the intake to boost the fuel supply ? Do the spark plugs look wet or dirty ?
If the coil is weak, it can fire a plug in mid-air but not under compression.

The Jeep has set for about 6 months. A week ago: battery dead, jumped it but would not start. I replaced the coil, jumped it and it started instantly and ran better than it has in years. Yesterday, I...

Check to see if you have spark at the coil. If you have spark at the coil and no spark at the plug, you probably have a bad distributor cap and/or rotor.

If there is no spark at the coil, you need to find out if there is voltage present at the B+ terminal of the coil.
No B+ could be anything from a bad ASD relay to a broken wire or burned fusible link.

If B+ voltage is present at the coil, the "NO-SPARK" condition could be caused by anything from a bad Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) to a bad Ignition Control Module (ICM) To a bad Electronic Control Unit ((ECU) - AKA Engine Control Module)

81 toyota pick-up. No spark

Check to make sure the main fuse is good. Sometimes those blow when you short out a wire from the battery to the ground on the car *like when an alternators live wire hits ground on the car.
On a 1981 Toyota pickup, im unsure of where it is located, but sometimes they are located in the fuse box, as a big fuse usually a 100 amp or 80amp fuse.. Sometimes they are located along a ground connected to the engine and the frame of the car. This could make it just crank and not start.
Check also to make sure that the engine is grounded, by taking a test light and connecting it to the positive side of the battery, and testing the metal around the motor. Sometimes grounds can break, or when shorted out they can melt. If the motor is not grounded then it will not start. and will just crank.
Hope this helps a little - Jarett

Not getting spark when engined turns

Suspect failed crank sensor. Sensor is located on left rear of engine and mounts into the bell housing fro the transmission. Common problem for this vehicle.
