If you could find the fuel pump relay, and figure out which terminals are which where the relay plugs in, then you could jumper the two terminals that are the power source and the fuel pump wire terminal. Then the pump would run. You can break the fuel line apart anywhere that is handy and catch the gas coming out. Another way is to break the line somewhere, pull the pump electrical connector apart at the gas tank, and run jumper wires from a nearby battery to power the pump and empty the tank.

SOURCE: Nissan sentra fuel problem

I believe this is a manual fuel pump and you may have lost the prime, no fuel in hose to tank. If the hose from rear frame to tank has a break or hole, it will **** air and not fuel from tank. If this is not the case, possible clogged fuel hose, tubing, or pickup tube in tank assuming you have turned the engine over serveral times and there is enough fuel in tank. Some tanks do not pickup from very bottom because of water laying in bottom of tank from condensation.

Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail and put a piece of hose on the line and put the other end in a container then locate and jumper the fuel pump relay (jumper from terminal #30 to #87 or whatever number is highest) this will pump the tank dry, then add a gallon if gas and pump that out as well. This shold take about an hour. This will work best if the fuel tank is warm as diesel thickens when cold. I hope this helps. Take care.

2004 nissan sentra have problem pumping gas

When you're pumping gas, does it stop you at the end, when the tank is nearly full, or is it not letting you pump gas at all? And how does the fuel gauge read after you've added gas? If it stops you and it still says the tank isn't full, it could just be that the float in your tank that connects to the gauge is wrong.

I have a 2004 Nissan Sentra and the gas gauge doesn't work right. It reads almost empty or moves around and ends up at 1/2 a tank and then empty after I restart the car. I think I need to replace the...

It is located in the gas tank as a part of the fuel pump assembly and im not sure about the access but if you cant see a removable plate in the trunk then the tank will have to be droped.
