According to my book, it is a evap system small leak detected. Usually a loose or faulty gas cap. Is the car running good? Check your gas cap, erase the code and see if the code comes back. Good luck. Phil

Hyundai Elantra 1999 timing issue

It's a '99 Elantra, have you ever replaced the timing belt? It is a belt not a chaing, so it is very much should have the belt changed. After 13 years if you haven't done the belt yet now appears to be the time to change. I have an '05 and we changed it over a year now.

Good luck!!

I have four error codes on my 1998 Elantra and need approximate cost of repair. P0442, P0743, P0747 and P0453.

Best advice, take the vehicle in to the nearest authorized Hyundai Service Center/Department & get an estimate. There'll probably be a diagnostic charge, but you'll finally get accurate information you need.

Car overheats, have been told its the radiator and cost will be 300 plus on 1999 hyundi elantra station wagon

If your car isn't leaking water onto the floor, most like you only need a thermostat replaced. Start your car and feel the upper radiator hose after you let it get to running temperature, be careful it's hot, squeeze the hose, if it's hard as a rock, replace the thermostat, seal and radiator fluid all together, use 50/50 antifreeze, it's easiest to measure and you can keep the extra for another time when you or a friend need it.
