Question about 1997 Nissan Quest
The car was running fine went to the post office came back home and when I went back out again it was dead the engine wont turn at all it dosnt make any noise ,there is power to the radio and dash lights horn etc,I also tried jump starting the van and still nothing at all,I am pussled any help would be apreciated.
I experienced similar problem, all electrical functions are working but engine does not start, the problem was the strat coil (I guess the right name is the "start up motor") which did not activate, so the shaft does not engage with the engine. In this case I did not heared any sound, only the fuel pump while turning the car key. I hit softly the coil body (start up motor) and then started the car. I had to replace the coil for a new one and the problem was permanently fixed (around 10 months already since then).
I Hope this help.

try taking the battery cables completely off and cleaning them.
<:AtomicElement>with a wire brush, put them back on and wait for about 15 min. if it don't start by turning the key over jump it off if the battery is still good it will charge if not you need a new battery. watch your voltmeter on the dashboard while it's running. good-luck, ray
