Question about 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan AWD
Mirror is broken off of vehicle. wiring is still in tact, motors, dimmer everything still works. I have disassembled it and can not figure out how to get the glass out of the assembly to remove the wiring. I can't remove the wiring from the vehicle side because the is no "connection" showing. The wires tuck in through the qtr panel and behind the dash. How do I remove the assembly or disconnect the wires from the "mirror side" to be able to repair it?
Ok I found a few on my lot and asked a few techs. First remove the outer piece where the mirror swivels, this looks like a triangle but on the outside. Now here is the fun part, The A-pillar panel needs to be removed from the inside. This panel is only held on by plastic clips, no screws from what I saw. Pull this off and you should see 3 screws or bolts with nuts that go to the mirror. After removing these 3 the mirror should be able to pull away from the vehicle showing you the wire which is when you need to detach the wires and replace the mirror. Here ya go, have fun.

Be very careful removing the mirror from the mirror head (there's a 90% chance it will break). Instead remove the mirror head from the vehicle. remove the door panel. you will see 3 nuts that hold the mirror head on the van. (may have to poke around to find them, behind some foam maybe). the electrical conection you are looking for is in the door follow the wires you'll find it. NOTE: most mirror heads are not ment to be taken apart and fixed but instead the whole mirror head replaced.
