The coil pack is on the back off the mtr . i remove the wiper arms and remove cowl cover the wiper mtr will come with cowl cover. once you have done that the coil pack is easy to get to. there are two speed sensors input and output one will be right side tail shaft

My 2003 windstar runs rough when i increase speed after a stop,but when i reach 20mph it runs smoothly,what could be the problem?


EGR Valve & or Ignition Coils

Worn out O2 Sensors

Worn Spark Plugs

Dirty MAF Sensor

Worn TPS Sensor

Check & test all of them

99 ford windstar (3.8)seems to misfire randomly when idling and can feel pulsations while driving


clean the MAF sensor first and also add some Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner to 1/4 tank of gas. You may have a dirty MAF or a partially plugged injector.

Coil pack and new plugs and wires would be my advice .I have a 2001 windstar and that what mine was doing and coil pack and plugs and wires fixed mine

there should also be a coil pack on that vehicle one are all coils are bad thats what it sounds like it could be
