Once you have got your socket and wrench, and the doors are open, crawl into the front and look directly under the seat to find the front bolts.
Then pull the seat as far forward as it will go, and then stick your head in the back and look under the seat for the rear bolts.
once you have pulled all the bolts from the seat, just remove it as well as the wiring harness which should just be a plug somewhere on the bottom and put the new one in

Removing the seat:

Are 3 bolts and 1 nut that retain the driver's side front seat to the vehicle's floor floor pan. It is not uncommon to snap the heads off the front two bolts when attempting to remove them. If the heads do break off, you'll need an electric drill, a set of taps and some oversized bolts and washers to fix the problem.

After all the fasteners are removed that hold the seat in the vehicle, unplug the electrical connector that comes out of the floor covering and connects to the seat. Now carefully maneuver the seat out of the front drivers door taking precautions not to damage the vehicles paint or interior door panel.

Fix Side-to-Side Movement Step1Verify that the seat track-to-floor bolts are torqued properly. Check the front retaining screws for torquing of 18 to 24 Nm (13 to 18 foot pounds), the rear outboard retaining nut for 18 to 24 Nm (13 to 18 foot pounds) and the rear inboard retaining nut for 60 to 90 Nm (44 to 66 foot pounds). If the torquing isn't too these specifications, fix them with atorque wrenchDRIVER'S FRONT SIDE BUCKET SEAT TRACK AND ELECTRIC - mag-glass_10x10.gif and then test the vehicle for unwanted movement. Proceed to Step 2 if the movement continues. Step2Locate the seat track-to-floor covers. Take them off and set them aside. Step3Remove and replace the complete track assembly with a new one (5461710 RH or 5416611 LH). Step4Reinstall the seat track covers. Step5Ensure that the recliner attachments are torqued properly before finishing the installation. Check the recliner-to-seat cushion for 44 to 60 Nm (32 to 44 foot pounds) and the recliner-to-seat back for 22 to 32 Nm (16 to 24 foot pounds).click the link for more details http://www.ehow.com/how_4590578_fix-power-seats-ford-taurus.html

Dog chewed off seat belt in front and replaced with junk yard now thejunk yard replacement will no retrack out

Unfortunately the junk yard takes parts from wrecked vehicles. The other problem is sometimes these vehicles are exposed to the weather soyou may have rust etc. in the track. Spray WD-40 inside and tap lightly while trying to pull belt out.

Does the electrical motors on Chevrolet Silverado bucket seats have an electric brake that can be adjusted to keep the seats from moving back and forth freely about an inch?

no. this just happens from wear over time. only proper fix is to replace seat track. if the seat is wear you want it and no reason to move you might can put a screw in the track to jam it in place. these tracks are expensive new one option is to check with salvage yard

Call a large junk yard and have them find you an entire seat out of another similar car. Bolt that in and be done with it. disconnect the battery before you unplug the seat wiring connectors.

1999 volvo s80 passenger seat stuck in forward position

you will need to check to make sure no coins fell into the track and is jammed it if not you will need to replace the bottom frame of the seat possible with a junk yard one much cheaper than buying new and junkyard frames come complete.
