They may of said it has bent valves not vent valves // when the belt breaks the valves can crash into the pistons causing damage either bent valves or even holes in top of the piston . take off the head and inspect for damage..

I just changed my vent solenoid, and engine light went out for 2 days, now im getting a PO496 AND PO446 WhAT DO I NEED TO CHANGE OUT

Possible vacuum switching valve at the evap canister. You may need to take it to a shop and have a smoke test performed to isolate the problem. A smoke test will help determine the defective part and save time and money instead of replacing and guessing at parts

Engine light has been on, changed gas cap and it went off for 2 days. went to auto parts store and they put the little gauge on it and it read that i have a small evap leak. Need to know what else it could...

The problem may be something that needs a shop to fix.
The computer vents the fumes from the gas tank to the vapor canister several times while the engine is running.
Any part of the EVAP system can leak, including the vent valve on top of the gas tank.
A shop would do a visual inspection then a smoke test where they induce smoke into the tank and check for leaks.

Is it possible for. Lifter to bend valves in stead of wrong valve timing on a Renault Clio 3 ? Took car for its 90 000km service and cam belt with pulleys and water pump replacement and all went wrong. The...

you are right to be suspicious of the answer that you got, the only way for valves to get "bent" is for them to come into contact with the piston(s).

the lifters are run by the cam, which is run by the timing belt, (which was just "replaced" by the shop) Renault is not the easiest cars to work on, but if it went to this shop for 90k "service", then they should have had the procedures down pat. Sounds like some-one is trying to "CYA" (cover their "you know what")

How much should it cost to fix an intake valve on a 2002 chevy trailblazer LT, I was told it is a 24 hour job, so it is expensive is this true? I went to have the oil changed and was told I needed an...

The labor sounds like it is in line with the standard labor guide if your Trailblazer is a 4X4. I can only guess how the repair went from oil change to intake valve. Was the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" Light on when you took it in? Did they tell you that your engine has a misfire that will require the replacement of a valve to fix? If so, this sounds reasonable. Otherwise, I don't know what to tell you without knowing all the details.

I assume the timing belt broke or the cam gears jumped a couple teeth, before your repair shop did all the recent work
So yes, the valves could have gotten bent
The repair shop should have checked that, or they didn't time the new belt correctly ( It could happen) and they caused the issue.
When I read your question again--I think they caused it,you can't prove it though.
You do a cylinder leak down test, not a compression test

P2441 means "Air injection system switching valve stuck closed"
(bank 1). I don't have a clue as to what they mean by that, sorry.

Change my timing belt valves got bent shop said was carbon

nO! dont get scammed they messed up and had the timing off and it fired your valves off at the wrong time and bent them dont take it to anyone else ...take it to the manufactures and let them know what happened and i would get in touch with the BBB.... see your timing belt turns your camshaft which turns your pistons up and down now if you timing is off your piston will go up at the wrong time and force all that combustion back at your valves which are made up of light metal and then they bend .....call the garage you went to and let them know that it was there fault and you want it fixed ......this really makes me mad being an mechanic myself. I hope this helps you a little.

yes i would change the plug wires , you can take a spray bottal with water and spray that wire, and if it starts to run real bad then it is shorting out, you may also have a injector going bad you can test this buy puting a ohms meter on it and ck the ohms it should read the same or close to the same as the other if not it will need replaced
