You have one of your constant-velocity joints failing. There are 4 on your car, two left and two right. Each has a short "drive shaft" between them. Nowadays, the cheapest fix is to replace the right or left axle as a unit ( One axle with a joint on each end). From your description, sounds like you might consider doing them tomorrow, or maybe today. If left untreated, thewy will come off and leave you stranded. Also, when they fall apart, they can damage other parts. Be blessed
will try to assist you. did you have your clutch replaced professionally? if it's a popping or cracking sound when accelerating or turning, it's most likely a c.v. axle going bad. either on driver or passenger side in the front of the car right?if it is a bad c.v. axle it will pop and crack when you turn wheel from left to right at low r.p.m. if not this, you may have brake issues. either it's a grinding sound while accelerating or decellerating,as long as cars in motion the noise will persist.try tapping your brakes while in a parking lot in slow gear, hear something from driver front, have a passenger with the widow down on passenger side, hear it from front passenger side? the thing i go by is what i hear when i test drive to diagnose an issue with a vehicle is,axles?popping and cracking when turning the steering wheel from left to right at low speed. [axle problem] grinding, scraping sound? brake issues! hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com and we are here for you 24/7 7days per week thank you!!!!

Your Constant velocity joints have gone bad. the Boot that holds th grease has leaked out all the grease and the bearing inside are not being lubicated and thats where the poping comes from. Have someone look at the axle (CV) to determine if repairable or you might have to replace the axle. Hope this helps
First put a jackstand under the car have it jacked up fairly high where you can get under it easily then take a really strong regular screw driver or a small pry bar slide up between tranny and the axle piece you are trying to get out and tap with your hand or a rubber mallet the bottom of the pry bar or the handle of the screw driver towards the opposite side of the car of what you are working on.
