Question about Mitsubishi Galant
You will have to drop the gas tank...there are 2 straps that hold it up that you have to take loose that will allow it to drop down so you need to have a floor jack under the tank to hold it in place. you have to unhook the gas lines and the hose where the gas is put in the car as well as the wiring harness that runs it all. then you can lower the tank to the ground and from there you have to remover the circle ring to gain access to the pump by tapping it around with a screwdre=iver til it comes off.there is no real way to test it that im aware of other than buying a new one and putting it in to see if it solves the problem or not.it all goes back together the way you took it apart .
