In order to get the code for the radio you will have to remove the radio and read the number off the back to the service department at a honda dealer. Otherwise you will have to take the car into the dealer where they will have to remove the radio and do the same thing. Also if you input the wrong code three times the radio will lock down and you will have to leave the battery disconnected for a day before you can try again.

Hi my Honda CR-V 97 not enough power to hold memory and clock wont hold time ether and resets ever time I restart the car yours very confused

The stereo should have two 12v wires; one is switched power and the other is always on 12v power.

The memory needs always on power since there is no internal battery to remember presets.

Lost battery power need code for radio

Hello,

I see this went unanswered for awhile, and you may already have fixed your problem, but you need to call Honda with the serial number of the stereo (found on back of stereo) in order to get the code. It is not the smartest move by Honda.

I hope this helps!

Needs my crv honda sound stereo code

You will need to take the car to a deal and verify you are the rightful owner of the radio as this is the purpose of the code.
Best of it. While at the dealer why not ask about any recalls on your car?

Stereo displays code and wont play anything

I had the same problem with my 2002 CR-V after replacing the alternator. If you open the glove compartment there is a sticker (at least it was on mine) on the left side of the glove compartment door. The top number is the code. The bottom number is the serial number of the stereo.

you can only try the code install 3 times before the radio locks up.
you will have to disconnect the battery for 10 seconds if that happens. the 5 digit code gets entered where the station select buttons are 1 2 3 4 5 6 enter the code there.
