I have a 98 ram with the same problem. The heater core seems to be hot but the cab is not. I put in a new radiator, because it needed it. Also a new thermostat. Didn't work.

Its very common for the recirc door to break off its hinge and lay over the blower motor blocking the air flow

No heat at you feet the air is just warm I have replace thermostat and heater coil but the defrost got hot air up there

Check and make sure you did not pull lose the duct work that directs the air flow to your feet. Common mistake most people make when replacing the heater core. That would be the first thing to check . Good luck.

My defrost blows but is not clearing out the window seems like blowing hot air out

The Lincoln has a cabin air filter which filters outside air. It is probably plugged therefore the heater can only recirculate the the air inside the car. The results are windshield may clear but most other windows away from the heat stay fogged up.
Try changing the cabin air filter and see if it helps a great deal.

Heater does not work

If you are getting air to the cabin, then you probably have a problem with the air dam that divides the air from the heater coil to the cabin. Most are vacuum operated and can fail on vaccum

No in car heating, blowers working fine but it wont produce heat. Its a 51 plate grand cherokee Thanks

If it won't produce heat then you have an issue with your heater core. The heater core could be bypassed, in which case no hot coolant will get to it to produce heat inside the cabin. The heater core could be stopped up with dirt/debris, in which case the heater core can't radiate heat to produce heat in the cabin. The ducting in the dash could not be allowing the hot air to flow to the vents - therefore no heat in the cabin. I'd start with the heater core and check to see if it is bypassed. This generally happens on older vehicles because the parts can be harder to find.

Was not getting warm air in the cabin so i assumed it must be the thermostat, replaced it - still no heat, thought maybe from replacing thermo i may need to get any air that might be traped in the system....

On most cars (all that I know of) the heater works by directing the hot water from the engine through a small radiator in the cabin and blowing air across it with a fan. If you hear and feel the fan blowing air then it could be that the valve that diverts the hot water to the small radiator is bad and no hot water is being circulated thus no warm air. In order to fix that you would have to locate the valve and replace it- many times they are in hard to reach places.
hope this helps

My 98 dodge intrepid's heater works great until I come to a stop or am sitting in park but as soon as I take off it starts blowing out hot air again.

This sounds like a bad blend door vacuum actuator to me.
If the heater core is hot at idle, but the inside cabin doesn't get hot air, then the blend door is something to look into.

Good luck on this repair.

It sounds like a low charge. It could be a clogged expansion device also. It has a higher probability of being a low or contaminated charge.

I have a 92 Pontiac Sunbird SE. Blows hot air but very week. I replaced the blower motor and sensor already. I can hear the motor running the way it should but it is not blowing hot air in the vents for...

Does the car have A/C? I've seen where the A/C evaporator coil springs a leak and it will be soaked with refrigerant oil, then every speck of dust or dirt that comes along sticks to it. Pretty soon it's plugged solid, the air for the heater has to pass through the A/C coil along with the heater core. No A/C, it could be that heater core fins are plugged. Also, some cars have a "cabin filter" if that's plugged it won't allow air to enter the system at all. Call a dealer or auto parts store to see if vehicle is equipped with a cabin filter. Good Luck!

Air conditioner problem 2001 Dodge Pickup

Hello, It sounds like your hot/cold blend door actuator is either hanging up at times or it's loosing it's calibration range because it's starting to go bad. The ticking noise is most likely the actuator trying to close off the hot air port but is unable to stay closed allowing hot air to mix with the cold. If it's just a weak blend door actuator, it will act up more when the air is on full because it has more resistance due to air flow. If possible try to see if the times it acts up decreases when you start the A/C with low fan speed.

I have a dodge stratus 2002 and the a/c is blowing warm air. I took the shop to get looked. They said that a/c charge is good, the freon level is good and they checked the heater coil for debris and said...

Probably a bad blend door motor if it's electronic or the cable is not set right or the cable retainer is broken. Either way the blend door isn't working.
