Question about 2001 Chrysler LHS

A popping noise when I hit a bump or hit the brakes

My 2001 Chrysler LHS makes a popping noise when I hit a bump or hit the brakes and the front leans forward. Sounds like it is directly under my feet or toward the center. The noise does not happen often. It will do it and then I wont hear again until park it and go later

Every time I hit a bump or pothole the front end of my car makes a clunking noise. It sounds like something is bouncing.

Sounds like you need new front struts since it sounds like it is coming from under your or towards the center of the car it most likely is either the driverside front strut or strut housing. I would take it to a certified safety mechanic asap. It might just be worn struts but it could be alot worse then that. Better safe then sorry.

It makes a noise while i hit a small bump and when i make a turn

If it's a knocking noise, it's either a swaybar link or a control arm bushing. Because you said "also while turning" I'd have to lean towards the control arm bushings. If it's another noise, you'll have to describe it more accurately... Your model car is notorious for front-end issues, among other things.

What is the trac button for on a 2001 Chrysler LHS ,what does it do, and how should I use it?

The traction control keeps the front wheels from spinning. This is mostly used in cold snow weather climate. You can turn it on or off when you push the button. It is usually just left on all the time unless you don`t like the little noise that it makes when the wheels slip in the snow or ice.Hope this helps.Good luck.

This can be done buy popping the hood and removing the bulb from the rear of the headlight housing. don't screw with the housing because, its leveled for optimal sight range.
