Question about 2001 Chevrolet Impala
I have taken this car to 4 mechanics no one can fig it out, while driving my headlights are constantly flashing, check engine light and the dinging noise as if the door is open is constantly going off!!!! Once the car is off, the lights are still flashing even hours LATER!! not only is it embarrisng ITS DRIVING ME NUTZ!!! Please help!!!!!
It is your control module
the sucky part is you can buy from auto parts and anyone can install BUT
only the dealership can program with your VIN number to your car. this is damn near $500 complete part and install with program at the dealership.
i had done 6 months ago.
i promise don't waste your money on testing anything else out.

There might be a "FRITZ" in the computer setting off different alerts in the car at times.. have you taken it to a dealer yet?
