Ok my anit lock light, trac light and service vehicle light is going on and off. I step on my brakes and the petal shakes and grabs, then the light goes on, ive tryed to reset if per manual, dont work, what the heck is wrong with it? also this darn security light keeps coming on, i reset that too, goes away for awhile, then it comes on again, whats up with these lights?????
I had the same problem when I first got my Alero. The problem turned out to be a bad wheel bearing. Seems odd, but I guess it's a common problem with Aleros. It's held up for two years without any further incident.

MOST OF THE TIME WHEN TRAC LIGHT AND ABS BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON YOU A HAVE A PROBLEM IN THE ABS AND TRAC SYSTEM.THIS IS A DEALERSHIP FIX. YOU CAN CHECK ABS BRAKE FUSES MAKE SURE IT IS IN TIGHT.AND CHECK FOR FAULTY ABS RELAYS.TO CHECK RELAY LOOK AT RELAY TERMINALS YOU HAVE TERMINAL 86 AND TERMINAL 85.YOU CONNECT TERMINAL 85 TO GROUND AND TERMINAL 86 TO BATTERY POSITIVE TERMINAL.IF RELAY CLICKS WHEN BATTERY VOLTAGE IS APPLIED.RELAY IS WORKING IF YOU HEAR NO CLICK RELAY NO GOOD NEEDS REPLACING.
Did you also replace the brake pads? If not, the wear from the warped rotors most likely caused uneven wear on the pads (not visible by looking at them, but apparent when you apply the brakes). This is probably causing it feel like the rotors are still warped. I don't believe your anti-lock brakes have anything to do with this.
The steering wheel position, wheel speed sensors, and ABS systems are all used to provide traction control. You likely have a failure of one or more systems. Scan the ABS system and it will provide codes to help the diagnosis. Wheel speed sensors fail often, and it is likely one or more of these is contributing to the problem.
please don't GUE$$ this problem speed sensor is part of your speedometer!! not the ABS sensor located at cv joint sensor ring! the sensor is bolted or pressed on to you brake anchor ///hub but it could be your ABS pump?? it could be 1 of 4 of your ABS sensor switches it could even be the sensor RING on CV joint? so to GUE$$ would cost $100.00 up word to a $1000.00 so again take in get it properly scanned to retreve the sensor or other part at fault! usually the fee is waved if you do the repair at that destination! or reduce 1/2 price depending on how well of a relationship you have with your tech our shop usually waves it if you go ahead and get the work required completed! QUESTION is it dangers absolutely! your safety as well as inasint others well it is your choice I hope the free support I gave you helped you out some way shape or form.John
