Changed batteries, remote still not working.

The remote keyless entry needs to be reset when the battery is changed, and the key pad must be reprogrammed if you need a new code.
here ya go..

Sit in the driver's seat of your Ford 500.

Insert the key in the ignition and turn it from "Off" to "Run" eight times within 10 seconds. The final turn should have the key in the "Run" position. You will hear the door locks engage; this means it is in programming mode.

Press any button on the remote; the door locks will engage again to confirm the programming. This must be done within 20 seconds of entering the programming mode.

Press any button on the second remote; the door locks will engage again to confirm the programming. This must be done within 20 seconds of entering the programming mode.

Turn the key to the "Off" position to complete the programming. The door locks will engage again confirming that programming is complete.

Decide on a series of five digits to be your personal code. Your code needs to be an easily remembered series or numbers.

Locate the keypad on the driver's door; it will be directly above the driver's door handle.

Press the buttons that correspond with the factory remote keyless entry (RKE) code. This code can be obtained from the dealership if it has been lost.

Activate the programming mode by pressing the "1'2" button within 5 seconds of entering the RKE code.

Delete the old code by pressing and holding the "1'2" button for two seconds.

Enter the new five-digit code that you created in Step 1. This must be done within five seconds of deleting the old code. The door locks will cycle when the new code is confirmed.
hope this helps you.
Hope this helps

My door lock remote will not function and new

have you tried to press/hold lock button for 30 secs.
the code changes everytime you use the remote so that only your remote unlocks your car,not everybody elses.the key has a code inbuilt into it so the car will only start with your key...(this is dealer programmable)

Remote works but doors don't lock/unlock

Check the remote battery or replace. Check all fuses. If you need to reprogram, try this.

key not in ignition.
driver door open-others closed
driver door unlocked

1-insert and remove key from ignition two times

2-close and open driver door two times

3-insert and remove key once from ign.

4-close and open drvr door twice

5-insert key into ign.,then close driver door

6-turn key to on (not start) then off, twice
this is rewrite mode, have all remotes to reprogram
it will clear any lost remotes.

7-remove key from ignition, the door locks should cycle twice.if not start may take a few tries.

8-press lock/unlock together and hold for a second

9-release,and press lock on remote, the door locks will cycle confirming program.continue to do other remotes you have, steps 8 and 9.if only one in possesion, you are done.

to end mode open door or insert key into can do up to 4 this a couple of times to get the sequence down.there are time restraints, but if you go in order it will not wait more than a second b/t each step and you will be ok.i know from experience that you can do this as fast as you can and it will enter mode.if steps out of order or you wait to long it wont.print this and have in lap, read ahead of what you are doing.good luck

Keyless remote

Disconnect the battery from your car (negative cable only) overnight. Make sure you have your radio reset code before doing so.

Then reconnect after 10 hours, and make sure you have remote handy as alarm may go off. Then if that doesnt fix it, go to driver door, then insert master key, pull up on handle first all the way and hold it. Then turn the key slowly all the way so the doors unlock and continue turning the key. This will reset the central locking system as yours may have gotton stuck. then remove key let go of handle, open door and try to lock and unlock doors from switch inside car.

Then try remote. It should work, this is what the dealer will do and charge you about $350...if it doesnt work order a new remote b/c yours may have become damaged by liquid or dropping?

Have a great day,

My keyless entry wont work and i had the battery in the car and the key chain thing on my keys replaced what else could it be.

My first question is has it been programed? This is a simple process of cycleing the key from off to on 7 times with leaveing the key in the on postions the 7th time (without starting the car). The door locks should cycle down then up showing you are in program mode. Then press any button on the remote and then the secound remote. The door locks will cycle eachtime it reads a new remote. Then turn off your key and the locks will cycle showsing your out of program mode. then try your remote. If this doesnt work i would have to ask you to call your local dealer to make sure you have the correct remotes. These key FOBs (remote) are not normally interchangeable from one car to the next.
Let me know if this helps
