There are two screws on each headlamp. One screw is on the side which turning in or out will adjust side to side movement. There is a screw on the top of the headlamp which turning in or out will adjust up and down. When you turn the top screw in it will make the headlamp shine farther.

I have the 83 jeep cj7 with the brake light problem. is the brake switch up high under the dashboard or in the engine compartment?

Hi!!
The brake light switch is located on the upper part of the brake pedal since it is activated by it. It should be the only switch with an electrical connector attached to the pedal.

83 cj7 rear axle

You could weld the keyway and file it back to size or replace axle. To upgrade, check with some of the big axle manufacturers like strange engineering etc. They could likely help or point you in the right direction. Anything you do will be $$ though.

Blinkers work except when.......

Sounds like you have a ground problem on the lights.
I'm assuming that the front lights that don't work are the directionals.
You might want remove one then turn on the headlights and try a temporary ground wire to the black wire. If it works then either check your ground wire from the battery to the chassis or install a separate ground wire the the light assembly.
As far as blinking fast, make sure all your lights are working. If one bulb is out that could be the problem.
Replace the dimmer switch.
