Check the coolant expansion bottle for level, and top-up if needed. If it seems fine, replace the sensor.

In cold weather - check antifreeze content. The simple way is to take a little out with a turkey baster, and put in a small pot in a freezer at -20. If it freezes - add more antifreeze!

Also check for leaks or dampness at the bottom of the radiator - a common fail point; and on the engine block below the timing belt area.

My coolatent is leaking there is a stain on the cover underneath the car cover and on the ground wt might of broke or craked

Most likely a cracked hose. Check your coolant levels and make sure you do not over heat the engine. Check all of your hoses to see if there are any cracks.

Will a leak cause the radiator fan relay curcuit to malfunction on a 2003 jeep liberty 3.7

a leak in coolant system will cause air pocket in the coolant system around the engine coolant temperature sensor.coolant sensor is a thermistor in which when hot cool cause it resistance decrease which affect the voltage from sensor to pcm which will cause engine coolant to turn on.if coolant level okay, check coolant fan fuse and relay, if all is good, engine coolant temperature sensor could be bad or have vechicle code scan for pcm problems it control the coolant fan.fill coolant system to correct level make sure engine coolat reservoir is at full cold mark and not empty.fill coolant system check for leaks, refill coolant overflow jug back to full cold mark dont over fill, if coolant overflow stay empty you have leak either its leaking or you have radiator hoses or radiator leaking coolant.when coolant overflow jug run dry it cause air get in coolant system causing overheating problems.

Low coolat light on

The coolant level sensor is located on the passenger side of the radiator, just below the bottom of the battery. Make sure you have removed the radiator cap and filled the radiator AND the plastic tank before deciding to replace the sensor.

After driving for several miles then parking my '98 Explorer XLT I find liquid under the vehicle. It looks like it may be coming from the catalytic converter. Does this indicate a problem that needs to...

to be sure let the engine cool down then check the coolant level if is low than normal put some until reach the normal level then start the truck dont drive it on the road in five minutes or less will be hot enough to creat pressure on the cooling sistem check for leaks around the engine if the weather is too cold some steam will come out from the exaust pipe and some times a little bite of water from the butom of the moufler but dont have to be antifrezz if is coolat coming from the exaust sistem beter tow the truck is cheaper to change a cilinderhead gasquet than the engine good luck

Water coolnat

First, Is there actually coolant in the over flow tank?

If the bottle is full the coolant level sensor may be bad. The sensor pulls out the bottom of the overflow reservior.

If the bottle gets low overnight there is a leak. Check the radiator side tanks for leaks. You need to look from underneath the car at the joint where the radiator meets the black tanks on the left and right sides.

You also need to look from underneath for most of the other hoses on the car, the car is turbo most likely and there are hoses that go to and from the turbos, into the cabin, and to and from the engine.
Leaks are hard to find from just looking from the top of the engine.

Hope this helps.

Hello

It sounds like the fuel pump is bad. Or the air filter box is loose or leaking. Check the air filter box and intake hose going to engine. Good luck. Please rate me so I know how I'm doing. Thanks.

I had the same problem with my 2003 Lancer OZ. The oil level and pressure were ok. Car was fine with no light when starting. After 10 to 15 mins of driving it would come on when I was stopped. It would go away when I pressed accelerator. Try replacing the Oil Sending Unit. It's about $10 and easy to swap. That was my problem.
