If the fuel pump is actually making any noise that
is not normal, you replace it, before it lets you down
& stranded somewhere
I have no idea why relays are ever meantioned on this
site
You would think they fail on all cars on a daily basis
If you have any basic electricity knowledge, then you
can test the relays,I have no idea why, if the pump turns
on & off
SOURCE: Where is a fuel pump relay on a 1996 chevy blazer?
Hello starryconstr: My name is Roger and I can answer your question. The location of the fuel pump relay is behind the glove box. Once you remove the glove box you will see a relay panel. This should be a 3 relay panel. The relay on the left side should be the fuel pump relay. Please rate the quality of this answer as this is how we know you have received the information you wanted. Thank You for using FixYa. Roger

YOU SHOULD INSTALL ORIGINAL GM PART AND NOT AFTER MARKET. I INSTALLED 2 AFTER MARKET PUMPS THEY WORKED FOR A WHILE THEN STOPPED. THE PROBLEM WAS NOT ENOUGH PRESSURE, SINCE I INSTALLED GM PART NO PROBLEM.......
SOURCE: 1996 Chevy Blazer...where is the fuel pump reset
There is no reset button on the Blazer or any GM cars for the fuel pump. The fuel pump fuse is the same as the ECM fuse at the end of the dash on the drivers side. The relay in in the glove box behind the rely cover at the back of the glove box and i think it's the middle relay out of the three that is the fuel pump relay.
Most likely that's it's going to be a bad fuel pump. The pump is reted to only be good up to 150,000 miles and anything longer then that is borrowed time.
Thank you for using fixya and good luck.
