been there done that , they get so brittle and crusty , ruin's yer day , you will have to get creative , one of my favorites was to screw a drywall screw right into the broken stub and use a sidecutters for leverage , carefully pull whats left of it out , worst case scenario is to drop the oil pan and push it out from the inside , i never had to go that far , i preferred to dig out the pieces . good luck with that .

Was told that the crankshaft pulley of my '92 Olds cutlass ciera was bad and must be replaced. where is the least expensive place to get this part?

The least expensive would be a salvage yard after that a auto parts store. But still check with the dealer sometimes they are cheaper.

Replace a water pump

Not too bad...however, you must have basic tool and mechanical knowledge. Try ordering a Chiltons manual at AutoZone or NAPA for ($25) and that should help a great deal.
Good Luck

1992 olds cutlass ciera keeps stalling out is there a main relay switch or ignition module switch that can be replaced? Where is it?Anyother ideas what could cause it to start, drive a few blocks, then...

could be a crankshaft position sensor located on the back side of the engine. There is a two wire plug on it and should be close to the freeze-out plugs. you will need an 8mm wrench to remove it.

How to

Remove your ground cable first. Then your positive. You will have a bolt at the bottom of the battery holding a clamp. Loosen the nut far enough to pull the clamp block up. Battery should pull out.
