Question about 2000 Dodge Caravan
I have to make a presentation before a large audience and i am very nervous and was hoping the experts would be able to provide some pointers on what i should do to prepare.
I agree with Curt about practice, practice , practice, out loud. Everything will then go well on the day, even once at a conference the AV gave up on me and I was able to give the presentation with out the slides I had it so well rehearsed.... however if the audience size worries you, just concentrate on the front row and ignore the rest, then it just looks like a few people. If you are worried about what people think, don't be the presentation always sounds better to the listener than the presenter and they have come to find out about the product, not to criticise your style.

Ok bunnydawg, what is your presentation about, how long is it going to be, how many in audience, when is it?
Although I'm wondering what the answers are for the above, here are some suggestions: practice, practice, practice!!! Start out by yourself w/ your presentation written down. Go from start to finish, speaking out loud, as if you were giving the presentation for real.
U can move up to practicing in front of family and friends. I must say I have gone through the same nervous, anxiety, freaking out myself when I had to give talks to groups of people. It gets easier with actually doing it, but the one thing I found is this--no matter how much u read over your material, and know it well, it's a totally different experience trying to speak out loud to a group. That's why I think u should practice speaking your presentation out loud, it's really helpful. So, answer my questions, and I'll be interested to hear how it goes! Break a leg! curt
