98 jeep wrangler purchased used, I originally flushed system and it worked fine for a while. Now its doing the same thing. I'm going to replace t-stat and flush again. Hopefully this will do it.

Have your heater core flushed, install new thermostat and coolant. It has to be 195 degree thermostat to work with your computer controls on your engine. hope this helps. Phil

If both heater hoses are getting hot, it could be a problem with the blend doors or the heater box.

I have a 98 jeep wrangler tj and it seems that it takes forever to get the heater to blow hot air. I was wondering what could be the cause of this. Is it because i have a 4 banger or the thermostat is...

If your heat is hot your system is ok if it is not hot usually a thermistat or lack of coolent is the problem. 4 cyl engines do take a littlte while to heat up. a solution to this problem that I use is to purshase a remote starter its good for the engine and cold morningr about 15 minutes before I leave I start it leaveing the heat on high and blower on full ,its toasty by the time I get in.

Check for un-isulated connection on the hot wire lead. It might have been after-market but on mine the connection would short out, blowing a fuse. 1 inch of heat shrink tube fixed the problem.

HEATER CORE REPLACEMENT!

I have a 1993 Jeep Wrangler YJ...My heater core needed replacement when I bought it about a year ago. I made the mistake of taking apart the dash to get to the heater core. DO NOT DO THIS!!! It is actually 4 screws that you must take out from the inside of the engine compartment on the firewall. Then it will come right out. Have fun!!!

2002 jeep wrangler OVER HEATING

Run it for a while and check the two heater hoses to the fire wall for the heater core. Turn the heat inside on low and floor. The hoses (when the jeep is hot) should be about the same temp. One will be slightly cooler than the other one. If this is not the case and one is much colder than the other you have a plugged heater core. Mark the cool hose let the jeep completely cool remove the cold hose and the hot hose use a garden hose to flush the core in direction of the cold side to hot side. If this is not it you have a air pocket in the system or your blend doors in the air box under your dash are broke.

No Heat 1988 Jeep wrangler

any time you do not have hot water in the hoses to the in side of the vehicle, your water has quit either due to you having only water in the system and it froze in the winter and you started it . or the propeller just broke of old age. make sure u dont have a check valve in the hoses going to the heater core in side the car. valve would be under the hood somewhere in the duration of one of the two hoses, which is the feed. this should do u good
