How do I remove a manual steering box from a 2Wheel Ford F100?

A diagram of this would really be helpful. Is there one I could download?

To,be more specific it's 1966 ford F100 pickup gas gauge does not work I want to know how to wire it properly

you going to have a service manual with wiring diagrams and layout
also assemble and reassemble procedures for the gas guide for the trk.
now if you get the part at the local auto parts store some have the disassemble and reassemble procedures available when you buy the new part. YOU MITE HAVE TO CALL AROUND TO SEE IF ANY OF THE PART STORE HAS THIS OPTION IN THE PROGRAM OR STORE OPTIONS.

It would be very hard to give instructions on how to do this over the Internet. If your not good with auto electrical stuff then I suggest going to a auto electrician, any auto elec should have no problem with this. Or get the wiring diagram fir your old truck and the 79 and mix and match to make it work.

I want to convert the manual steering of a 1970 Ford F100 (302ci) to a power steering system. What parts do I need to add/replace, and is there a diagram to show the different systems?

First off your gonna need a kit like this Zoops 1010 from Summit racing. You will also need to get a steering box for power steering. Summit Racing also has the boxes. They have one it is part number aaz-27-7504. Or find another 1970 Ford with power steering and pull it all off of that one. Schematics for it can be found on this site. http://www.fordification.com/tech/schematics_c.htm. Also this will tell you all the other parts your gonna need. (for a falcon but it will be about the same)

I believe their is enough room to slide the pan out if you loosen the motor mounts and jack the engine up.
