I need to change the belt on my 1997 Olds 88. It appears that a major support to the front end has to be removed. Is that correct? Thanks, Dean

If it is a transverse (belt facing the tire) then yes the motor mount bracket has to be removed.

97 olds 88 vibration when holding steady speeed

that could be transmission issue/ front end issue/ with out driving the vehicle hard to say.
my 88 had overdrive shudder going up hill transmission need a rebuild. that all i got with out driving the veh srry.
when trying to figure out what going on with the veh you need to isolate the cause of the vibration , front. rear of the veh.put the veh on jack stand and drive it see if you can figure were that vibration is comeing from

Why does the belt keep coming off on my olds 88 1997 when it rains?

Belt is worn out, or tesioner pulley is worn out. Check to see that all your pulleys line up correctly also, that can cause the belt to 'walk' off a pulley.

How do i get to the blinker bulb on the 97 olds 88ls in the fron?

To change the blinker or headlight bulb on an 1997 Oldsmobile 88: Open the hood, remove the plastic cover thing so that you can see the housing for the light. On the back side of the housing there are three clips, remove those (I was able to remove them with just my fingers). Once the clips are removed the whole headlight slides out the front of the car. Now you can easily replace any of the blown bulbs.
