Your valve body on top of trans. is probably the problem.

I have a 98 Ford Expedition, it starts and accelerate great but once i put into gear it dies. What could be causing this?

You need to replace the transmission you just put in. Sorry. It is not worth your money to start throwing new parts on a transmission that is potentially junk. First you have to start with a TCC solenoid, then the valve body, then the torque converter. Then when you spend all the money and time on this. You still have a junk transmission.

On an automatic transmission there is two places to put gear oil. Is this the same on a manual transmission. I have switched out a auto for manual and added gear oil in one place but still get a growl am...

Was it a new manual transmission? If it was used, you may have gotten one with some wear on the bearings. There is only one place to put transmission into the transmission. Are you using the correct grease for a manual transmission?

How to drain and put new transmission oil on my chevrolet aveo 2005 manual transmission?

you dont ---end of story it should never need changing on a modern vehicle ,unless you take the drive shafts out to do a clutch then you top it up through a filler plug at halfway level on the gearbox ,Dont make work .

I put my truck in gear and i move no where. I can get into gear just as normal as when the truck did run. The rpm gets really high and i move nowhere.

This could be a clogged Transmission filter, bad torque converter, bad solenoid, disconnected shifting lever (not likely if you can put in park). If it's a standard it's most likely something you can fix on your own. If it's an automatic your most likely going to need to a service shop to do the rebuild.

Fifth gear throwing out when its put in

common problem with manual transmissions that have over drive gears, instead of dropping back to lower gear for overtaking, just putting foot to floor over loads the overdrive gear, prematurely wearing it to the point where the pressure angle changes between the gear in question and its meshing counterpart, causing it to throw/jump out of gear. dont use 5th gear, if you do, be gentle, it will eventually fail, get a new transmission!

2004 volkswagen jetta speedometer doesn't work

There is a plastic gear inside the transmission that cracks or breaks causing this exact issue.  The speedo sensor gets its reading off of the broken gear by way of a shaft with a small gear that the sensor screws onto and meets with the gear that is broken. The transmission has to be dissassembled.  A new plastic gear put in and reassembled.

Automatic transmission sounds like it stuck in 3rd gear

You need to check the transmission fluid level, if it is low the tranny will not shift. If, however, the fluid is to the proper level then you will need a new transmission.
Try putting new fluid in and look for a leak in the pan gasket, then all you may need is a transmission service. When the service is done the mechanic will look for pieces of metal in the old fluid, if found this is very bad and you will need a new tranny.
You might consider a new or used car, you can definately find a good deal out there!

98 mirage manual gearbox where is ,filler and drain plugs

raise your car. make sure you have jack stand and use them before you crawl underneath.

go under your transmission and look for a hexagonal nut or plug at the very bottom of the transmission or gear box.
that is the drain plug. it is very tight , i warn you.

then after you drain all the oil, replace it and tighten it too.

then look for almost the same size of bolt at the side of the transmission or gear box.

this is the fill hole and at the same time the full hole plug.
if the new oil that you are putting in is already over flowing out of the hole, put back the plug right away because that is the full level already.

you can use a hose that would fit just through the hole and insert it to your new gear oil. then let it pass trough gravity towards the gear box.

tnx 4 using fixya,
