Question about 2008 Ford Taurus Sedan
Hi, my brothers 2001 taurus had a similar problem on the drivers side window. It was a broken wire in the door wiring harness( inside the rubber sleeve between the frame and door). Ford uses very cheap quality wire and corrsion is a problem, find the wire and crimp it back together.

Does the switch work the other windows? if not the switch is broken. Although it may just be the window in question with a faulty switch
If the motor was broken theres usually (not always) noise involved.
Pry out the switch and use an electric meter to test it.
The fuse will normally control more than 1 window, so if its blown, they will all not work.
be careful trying to raise the glass again.
Hope that helps.
