How do i do valve timing from scretch after timing belt broke on a volvo t5,2.3l s60

If the belt broke while the motor was running, the motor is likely badly damaged since, I believe, the five cylinder Volvo engines are "interference engines". The crankshaft and pistons keep moving while the car is in gear and still moving, but the valves stop dead the instant the timing belt breaks. The pistons would have hit some of the valves, cracking or badly damaging the cylinder head and some pistons. If the motor is not damaged internally, though, just line up the timing marks on the cam shaft sprockets and the crankshaft sprocket and put on a new belt. Go online for a diagram of how to align the timing marks.

When to replace volvo v50 wagon timing belt?

I believe it's every 80k. Just do it if you don't know when it was done last , these are non-tolerence motors and you will do damage to the valves if you break the belt in motion.

My 08 volvo c30 wont start my drive belt thorn apart and all the lights on dash came on change the belt but now it wont start

By drive belt do you mean the accessory drive belt ? Or are you referring to the timing belt ? A broken accy belt should not cause the car to not start unless the belt slapped around and broke something in the engine area. Check all around and under the front of the engine for damaged wires or wire connections to engine sensors that may have been damaged by the slapping belt. If its the timing belt your talking about then you need a mechanic .

When should you change cam belt on volvo s60

Well, most belt companies and aftermarket folks recommend 60,000 to 80,000 miles on a timing belt. You have an interference engine which means if the belt breaks while the engine is running it could damage the valves and pistons. So I would recommend doing it soon.

The idle pulley of the timing belt has broken and the timing belt came off while driving , my question is does the head get damaged ?and can I put a new timing belt with the whole kit ?

Your engine is an interference engine. That means that if the timing belt breaks or comes off, the pistons will contact the valves and bend/break them. Sorry to deliver the news but I have not yet seen one that the belt came off of that didn't get damaged. It is also possible that the pistons were damaged, so if you choose to repair it make sure they are not.

Timing belt felll off on highway, will there be a lot of damage 2000 volvos-80

Volvo recommends for Volvo S80, changing the timing belt every 105,000 miles. Needless to say, they are pretty religious about this now.
The B20, B21, B23, and B230 engines are non-interference engines, meaning that the camshaft can be rotated independently of the crankshaft and no damage will result to the engine. That is, if the timing belt breaks, the valves will not hit the pistons; the engine will simply stop.
On the other hand, the B234 16-valve engines and any of the other Volvo multi valve engines are interference engines. Loss of the timing belt in these engines will result in severe or fatal engine damage.
Your car might be fitted with:
2.8L (VIN 90, 6th & 7th digit, B6284T eng, turbo)
2.9L (VIN 94, 6th & 7th digit, B6294S eng)

I have 86,000 miles on my 1993 240 Classic. What is the maintenance schedule and what should be done at this time?

Most car dealers recommend maintenance services at 30K, 60K, 90K and so on. The 30K service is mainly focused in inspection of the systems and replace of the fuel filter.
The 60K is expensive for cars with timing belt. The coolant, transmission oil and filter, and the brake fluid has to be changed. The air filter and spark plugs has to be replaced at this time too.
Most costly is the replacement of the timing belt. Volvo recommends for Volvo 240, changing the timing belt every 50,000 miles.

Does the volvo 2000 s40 have a timeing belt or timeing chain?

The 1.9 Liter has a cam belt which MUST be replaced at 105,000 miles. Also replace the water pump which is driven by the cam belt to save labor costs later one. This is an INTERFERENCE engine and as such if the belt breaks you will have serious engine damage. Therefore do not neglect this service.

If its just a regular drive belt its impossible for this belt to "kick back" and bend a vale. However if this was a timing belt its quite possible to bend valves if it breaks. You problem could be a crank sensor that may have gotten damaged when this belt broke. If the crank sensor is damaged it won't send a reference signal to to computer therefore the vehicle would not have a spark to start. Godd Luck
