Question about 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer
Died 2 days ago while I was parked with car on. Had to keep the RPMs above 1000 or it would die. Engine light came on..so I limped it into Autozone..and they said
MAF and IACV ...error codes with their scanner
So I bought MAF cleaner..
Cleaned MAF, Throttle Body...
Still stalls, still rides like ****.
Had to get to work this am..hah..zip tied throttle cable tight at 1000 rpms..
Runs now, hah, although I'd like to fix the problem..which is?
Bad iacv? hope not, cheapest one I could find is $370.00
unrelated or related..
My A.C...started making a loud click when on.
I opened hood...again... to see what looked like the compressor locking up, then releasing..
could the compressor be slowing down the belt? and killing the idle?
or is this just a new problem.
I dont want to mess anything up..with my zip tie fix...So help me fast..Please..
Have tried tried changing the inline fuel filter. If I remember correctly it is in the tank, but I had issues with mine not getting above 20 mph and have almost no acceleration.Come to find out, it was my fuel filter that was so clogged that almost no fuel was making it to the injectors.
