Oil light comes on when the car is idling low; stopped at traffic light, parked, after exiting highway. Oil is full. Recent oil change.

I have a 2002 mitsubishi lancer with the same problem, but the engine light only works this way when the engine is at operating temperature. It doesn't happen when the engine is cold or warming up. Now it has become worse and is on even at higher RPM's. Oil level is full and the last time I had it in for repairs it wasn't as bad as it is now and the mechanic said just drive it and only worry about it if it comes on when your'e driving.

I have a 2003 Lancer and my oil light also comes on when I am stopping or idling once the engine is warmed up. My first thought was change the oil. That worked for a day and now it is doing the same thing. Various mechanics have said different things, but no one has a clue as to what exactly is causing it.

2003 Lancer here. Same thing. Oil light comes on, but dipstick is beautiful. Nothing burning either. I have been panicking.

I have the same problem. Oil light comes on, but the dipstick is perfect. I panicked last week, brought it to the dealer and they said they left out a "plug". The light came on again today and again, dipstick fine. No burning either. Wat do I do?

Try replacing the Oil Pressure Switch/Sending Unit. It should only be a couple bucks at your local auto parts store.

Clutch pedal has no pressure and makes an air relief sound when i turn off engine

Well, it seems to be a hydraulic clutch, meaning it works by oil pressure. The reservoir is under the hood against the firewall and is usually very close to the brake reservoir. Both take the same dot3 brake fluid that can be purchased at the auto parts store. Make sure they both have the proper levels in them. Your clutch has definitely got air in the lines from a low fluid issue or the clutch master or slave cylinder needs replacing or rebuilding.

Alight comes on that looks like a pail with a spout on a 2003 malibu with a 3100 engine it gones off at about 2700 rpms

it sounds like your oil pressure light. ( light illuminates red) I would check the oil level in the motor, if o.k. check oil pressure with mechanical gauge at sending unit located on engine. If oil pressure above 18 p.s.i. at idle, suspect faulty sending switch. If pressure low, possible oil pump/regulator, cracked pick-up tube, bad engine bearings.

Where is a brake switch located on a mitsubishi lancer 2003

if you mean the brake light switch, almost all of them today are located so the brake pedal can actuate it. Look around under the dash. You should be able to see it.

2002 Mitsubishi Lancer Oil Light at Low RPMS.

I had the same exact problem over the weekend. We decided to go cheap first and replace the Oil Pressure Switch. It's like $6.00 at Auto Zone here in Texas. (don't know if you are from the states). It ended up being the switch. It's located right by the oil filter and it's very easy to change. Just make sure you have a wrench or deep socket bigger than 15/16. I think we used a 1 inch wrench.

If it's not the switch, its most likely the oil pump, but don't forget to check the hose, it could be bent or crimped.

Hope this helps :D

2002 Lancer OZ Rally...

I had the same problem with my 2003 Lancer OZ. The oil level and pressure were ok. Car was fine with no light when starting. After 10 to 15 mins of driving it would come on when I was stopped. It would go away when I pressed accelerator. Try replacing the Oil Sending Unit. It's about $10 and easy to swap. That was my problem.
