Re: INSIDE WINDOW FROST
You have to take the under part of the dash loose to get to the heater core and there are two hoses under the hood that connect to the heater core. id take those loose first and then wok on the inside part of it, its going to be right under the center of the dash down low. its hard to get to but thats what you have to do to change it out.takes a couple of hours to do it .

this is a small door to control the hot air coming from the heather core to inside room on every vehicle including yours if this part is broken you could get no hot air from your heather or if this part is stuck open you get hot air all the time even with the heather off
2.3l, 4 cyl.
If you need to replace the heater core it's really easy. Maybe 30 mins if you know what your doing. Remove the hoses (truck cold) from the heater core in the engine compartment (reclaim excess coolant that comes out). Remove screws from the passenger compartment fire wall area (inside), remove and reinstall heather core. Replace lost coolant. It's that simple.
wow big job, ok here we go, cold engine drain cooling system, loosen clamps and disconnect hoses from core plug ends, under hood, now inside remove right side under dash panel, remove heater floor outlet duct, remove screws and clips that secure core cover, remove cover then core retaining straps and core reverse to put back together
You definatly have water inside the car. Pull the carpet back in the front and rear checking for water leaks. The only way frost can develope inside a vehicle is the presents of moisture. The other possibility is your HVAC drain is plugged and water has built up inside the heater motor area. Have the drain checked and cleaned.
CORE PLUGS HARD TO REACH THEY ARE ON SIDE OF CYLINDER BLOCK.ENGINE HAS TO BE REMOVED BEFORE YOU CAN REACH REPLACE CORE PLUG.TO CHANGE CORE PLUG YOU CAN USE A HAMMER AND A LARGE PUNCH.KNOCK CORE PLUG SIDEWAYS IN BORE.PULL CORE PLUG OUT WITH PLIERS.WHEN INSTALLING NEW CORE PLUG IN BORE.MAKE SURE INSIDE BORE CLEAN FREE FROM RUST.USE SCOTCH BRITE INSIDE BORE.ROTATE SCOTCH CLOCK WISE POSITION TO REMOVE RUST INSIDE BORE BE CAREFUL DONT DAMAGE SCRATCH INSIDE THE BORE.THEN CLEAN INSIDE BORE WITH ACETONE.REMOVE RUST AND GRIME.WHEN YOU SEE CLEAN DRY METAL SURFACE.COAT THE SEALING SURFACE OF CORE PLUG WITH A NON HARDENING SEALANT LIKE PERMATEX NUMBER 2 .DRIVE NEW CORE PLUG IN PLACE WITH A LARGE 1/2 INCH SOCKET AND 1/2 INCH EXTENSION IF YOU DONT HAVE A DRIVER SET.YOU ARE DONE.
That's usually caused by a leaking heater core. Have you nnoticed any moisture on the floorboard or carpet area beneath the dash? If the heater core is leaking, you should be able to smell antifreeze. Also, the windows would only fog over after the engine has ran long enough to heat the coolant.
check blower motor fuse if it isnt the fuse maybe a bad blower motor do you also have no air flow when you turn ac on the radiator on the front of the car is no your heater core heater core sits inside your duck work for your air vents has this just started happing or did you buy the car this way
ussually the problems is coused by too much pressure in the system or worn heather core hose or by a faulty water pump or blown head gasket check system for air buble while engine running if no air bubles change termostat and water pump and the problems should be gone.
