Sorry about that, I meant to submit it as a solution and not a request for clarification.

You must be seeing coolant somewhere to know there is a leak.

I would check every hose clamp and be sure they are tight, it not unusual for one not to be tight enough because the mechanic didn't want to over- tighten it.

Ford Ranger overflow tank bubbling and overflowing, running hot, white smoke, after water pump failure.

The smoke could be the water boiling. Although it is possible that you blew the head gasket, if the vehicle overheated badly, It is also possible that you still have some air in the system. Replace the thermostat and seal /gasket and run the vehicle while adding coolant. Do not install cap on until both houses upper and lower are hot to the touch. This is an indication that the thermostat opened and coolant is actually circulating. Good luck.

My ford taurus 1995 was working perfect untill i found a leak at the lower radiator hose by the water pump a fixed and i change the thermostat but now a have a overheating problems, i am wondering if the...

if the leak was near the lower radiator hose then most likly the water pump is bad. The thermosat is located on the upper radiator hose, and as long as it was installed the correct way there should be no issue there.

Theres coolant leaking from somewhere i cant see i know its not from the radiator or or hose unless there's another hose i cant see. the leak is located under the motor mount running down the tranny on...

really this could be one of several issues, does the vehicle run Hot, are you having to fill the reservoir with water or coolant, there is a hose that runs from the cap (overflow hose) to the reservoir, in addition to the upper and lower hoses, finally the water pump. the water pump is equipped with weep holes, which allow fluid to weep out when the pump is bad. finally the thermostat, hopefully one of these can solve your issue, good luck!

1995 Ford Ranger Splash Model had water pump

you already have two solutions where you posted this an afterthought to my original solution, I also suggest checking pump bolts to make sure they are all tight (don't go overboard with this and snap any, just make sure that they are not easily turned.)

Car began overheating, so we added antifreeze and water. Then the next day, it all leaked out. Upper hoses appear to be ok. Are there lower hoses?

It should have a lower hose also. Or you could check around the water pump, they have a weep hole on it and they usually leak if the pump is bad.

Thermostat, Water, 3.0L Aerostar and Ranger Removal

  1. Install water thermostat into thermostat housing as illustrated.
  1. Position gasket onto thermostat housing using bolts as holding devices. Install water thermostat and tighten bolts to 20-30 Nm (14-21 lb-ft).

  1. Start engine (6007) and check for coolant leaks.

Coolant still leaking from my 1996 Isuzu Rodeo.

There is a plastic heater pipe junction behind the inlet manifold against the fire wall that could be brittle and leaking.
