If the coolant is transperant[it may be colored but if you put a few drops on your hand you can see your skin through it] then it should be ok.
If it is cloudy, has specks of oil[darkspots] floating in it or anything other than transparent, then have the radiator serviced.

Low coolant. What coolant can i add?

On a chevy, anything will do that is universal. Any parts store will have your basic coolant that says it's good for any car. While not exactly true, it is good for any chevy. The more extreme your climate gets, the higher quality you should buy, but if you drive year round in moderate conditions, i.e. not below freezing or above 90 degrees regularly than any of these basic types will do. If you do live and drive in extreme conditions, spend the extra to get a little better stuff. Good luck.

Hi,,,, I have a 1998 BMW 328is. The heat works great when it is going down the highway at highway speeds, but when idling and driving thru town at under 30 mph it blows just cold air. Is this a problem...

The climate control does not know how fast you are going, so that cannot be it. A '98 should not have a plastic impeller on the water pump, so it should not be a disintegrating impeller. However, if the coolant has not been changed regularly, the water pump impeller could be rusting away.
Another possibility is air in the coolant. If your coolant reservoir is crumbling inside, air gets in to the cooling system. A '98 is about due for a new coolant reservoir if it has not already been replaced. I had to do both my '97s a couple of years ago.

Switch odometer from miles to kilometer

If your colorado has a drivers info center you can do it through the dash yourself. It will be in the owners manuel. If it does not have the info center you will need to take it to a dealer and it will take just a few minutes to do with their scan tool. Good Luck

What type of oil should I use in a 2006 Colorado? And how many ?

It depends on the climate you are in, ask at the local auto parts store where you buy your oil, they should know, usually if you don't know 10W-40 is a healthy medium.

Oil chandes and oil light

Sounds like you may not have gotten a full amount of oil in the car, or you may have a faulty oil sending unit. Regardless of that though, you most definitely do NOT need to change your oil every month. Do another oil change and make sure the proper amount of oil is put in (the capacity is listed in your owner's manual in the specifications section). Try it out and see if you continue to have this problem. If you do, it's possible that the sensor is bad and is telling you that you have less oil than you really do.

I have the same problem. The ac was working and now, it is only on setting 4 that works. I have taken it to a mechanic who replaced the restrictor, which worked for 2 days and went out again. Then he replaced the switch and again it worked for 2 days and broken again. This time, I took it back and he did find a short in the wire. He taped it up and it worked for 2 days again, and now it is back the way it was, only working on setting #4. I was told this was a problem with the Colorado. Chevy has yet to recall it, but they need to. If it is a short, it is possible that the vehicle could catch fire.
